Collection: Ottmar Hörl

Ottmar Hörl was born in the 1950’s in Germany. He is considered one of the most important contemporary German artist. His sculptural work deals with the theme of standardisation and the equalisation of everyday objects that surround us in so many ways in our lives. His works are based on the maxim of “sculpture as organizational principle”, and the idea of the series. Through reproduction, he removes the elite element from art. He does not wish to create monuments but rather enduring occasions for communication.
